Wedding Services & Process
Save the Dates
We will help you set the tone for your celebration with this first piece of wedding stationery by creating custom wedding artwork and hand-lettering to fit your personality and style.
Save the Dates are mailed 8-9 months prior to your wedding date and we like to get started designing them 10-11 months prior. Our average bride spends $900 on Save the Dates.
Wedding Invitations
The main event! (for Paper!) We get to know you through our consultation and questionnaires and use our creativity and artistic expertise to tell your love story on paper. We add in all the extra details with our watercolor artwork and calligraphy to make your guests feel a WOW moment when they open the envelope. Have a few favorite places that are special to you and your fiance or a furry friend? We can incorporate watercolor wedding maps, watercolor venue portraits and pet portraits in your wedding invitation set.
Wedding invitations are typically mailed 8-10 weeks prior to your wedding date and we start the design process 6 months prior. Our average bride spends $3,000 on custom watercolor wedding invitations.
Wedding Day of Stationery
We carry the artistic tone set by the Save-the-Dates and invitations through to your big day! We design menus, wedding programs, signage, place cards, escort cards, seating charts, cocktail napkins and more, incorporating the custom watercolor artwork and calligraphy pieces from your invitations, and new ones too!
Wedding Day-Of Stationery design process starts 2 months prior to your wedding date. Our average bride spends $1,000 on day-of stationery.
Custom Watercolor Wedding Invitation Process
1. Consultation
Our custom design process begins with a complimentary consultation so that we can find out more about you and your hopes and dreams for your wedding stationery! We will send you a "Wedding Design Questionnaire" prior to our consultation so that we can come better prepared with ideas and inspiration for our meeting.
2. Custom Quote & Booking
After the consultation, we will send you a pricing proposal and contract that details all of the items you would like to see in your Wedding Suite. Don't fear, these can always be adjusted as we move forward with the process so if you decide you want to add an envelope liner later in the design process we can adjust proposals as needed!
After your pricing proposal has been approved we do ask for a 50% deposit to move forward with the booking and secure your spot.
3. Information Collection
We will send you the “Wedding Information Questionnaire” to ensure that spelling of names and places is accurate and to help decide which wording and phrasing to use on the various invitation pieces.
4. Design Process
The design process takes place about 5-6 months prior to your wedding date. We will send you initial design ideas on an art board which can include sketches, illustration and calligraphy examples and digital mock-ups of invitation components. After receiving your feedback we will work towards creating the first round of proofs for all elements of your invitation suite.
5. Proof Revisions & Printing
If you would like to order hard copy proofs, we recommend doing so at least 4 months prior to your wedding date, ensuring adequate time for design and wording revisions. Hard copy proofs are priced on a per invitation-suite basis depending on the number and types of pieces starting at $45 per suit.
After proofs have been received (either hard copy or digital) we will make any necessary revisions before final invitations are ordered at least 14 weeks prior to your wedding date.
6. Invitation Assembly & Mailing
The printing process takes approximately 2-3 weeks, leaving a week for assembly with the target of mailing the invitations 11 weeks prior so that guests receive them 10 weeks prior to the wedding.
